Beverly Hatch is an Independent Woman

I like to be with the handicapped people. I was working with them. I was in school with them when I was with my parents living in Calgary. I was going to school in Calgary 1971-1974, then I lived in Grande Prairie.

I went to a work shop and I worked cleaning the streets. I went to the College in Grande Prairie. I lived in a group home for 2 years and then I moved back to Cold Lake where I went to the Dove Centre in Bonnyville in 1982 where I worked in the wood shop.

My brother Dennis got me a job. I worked with my brother and I worked at the Burke's Jewelers doing mail and downtown deliveries. I liked that work and the people were good to me.

Now I go to Community Options and they help me find jobs. I love to be with them, they help me out. I am co-chair of the Community Council. For my future, I want a small house and I want to be with my friends.
