I would like to tell you a little about myself. My name is Christine Caissie. I graduated from K.V.H.S. in 1993. Mom and dad decided to move to Cold Lake, Alberta because there were no jobs in Saint John N.B. for me. We moved up here four years ago.

I got a job at McDonalds and stayed there for two years as a line cook.

I have been living independently for the past two years in Cold Lake. I have a cat named C.C. I am a co-chair of Community Council. I am the president of People’s First. I recently got a new job at the Grand Centre Middle School as a janitor.

I like where I live here in Cold Lake. I also like living independently on my own. I earn my own money and pay my own bills. I have a great job to go to.

It makes me feel good about my self that I am a valued member of my community. I didn’t do this on my own. I had support from my workers at Community Options and CSS.
