My name is Lawrence Noel. I have a developmental disability. I want to share my story with other Parents and Advoates in the Northeast Region. When I was born nearly 40 years ago the doctors told my parents to put me in an instatution. My mother defied them. I have graduated High School at Bonnyville Centralized High School nearly 11 yeaers ago on June 1, 1991. I was married and now are divorced. I live on my own in my aparetment. I am a student in the Rehablitation Program (distant learning) at Lethbridge community Coleg 1rst year. I hope to continue it in Cold Lake at Portage Ciollege in 2003. I belong to PDD and Friends of People First, the Minisr's Employablity Council, and PDD committees. I am a friend of AACL. I want to in closing to let all self advocates to never give up on their dreams no matter what. If I can do it so can you!
